


Anthoula Medenas is a Greek-American artist whose work is shaped by memory, identity, and belonging. Her work reveals an ongoing negotiation of identity, caught between the pull of two cultural worlds. Symbols of a distant homeland resurface in her work, charged with the inherent human desire to be seen.

Born in Southern California, Anthoula earned her BFA in Drawing and Painting and BA in Women and Gender Studies from California State University, Fullerton. Her fine art has been exhibited with Sab Gallery, Echo Park Gallery, and The Lab Art Collective.

She is the founder of Waste Hazard, a creative studio where she crafts visual narratives for fashion and wellness brands.

Blending fine art, design, and photography, Anthoula builds a multidisciplinary practice that is both intimate and expansive.
